Oggi voglio raccontarvi la storia di una giovane designer di successo che arriva da Israele, parlo di Rinat Asher, direttrice creativa e fondatrice FLORA BRIDAL.
Ho conosciuto Rinat allo showroom di Antonella del Brusco a Milano in occasione del Trunk Show della stilista. I suoi abiti sono famosi in tutto il mondo per rappresentare lo stile del momento, ricco di carattere e mistero: romantico, ma grintoso; elegante ma moderno, sensuale ma allo stesso tempo dolce. Alcuni parlano di new glam, altri parlano di Modern Boho, il risultato in ogni caso sono abiti che colpiscono per la loro bellezza, la cura del dettaglio, la qualità e le preziose rifiniture.
La collezione presentata in Italia si chiama Intrigue e vuole interpretare il fascino della donna moderna.
Rinat ha un modo di fare molto “francese” è molto semplice ma allo stesso tempo sofisticata e nonostante non fosse pronta ad essere intervistata da noi, ci dedica il suo prezioso tempo.
Che tipo di formazione scolastica hai Rinat?
Ho studiato moda, è sempre stata la mia passione, ma ad un certo punto, l’ho abbandonata per studiare psicologia. La moda mentre lavoravo nel settore della salute mentale era solo un hobby molto piacevole, ma poi come vedi ha preso il sopravvento ed è diventata il mio lavoro. Sono sempre stata creativa, fin dall’infanzia e ho disegnato il mio studio, la mia casa, il design è davvero parte del mio DNA.
Raccontaci di Flora Bridal, dove nasce il tuo stile, le tue collezioni, come è cambiato il tuo stile negli anni, hai già all’attivo ben 7 collezioni.
Il marchio ha un identità molto forte, quando guardate un mio abito, capite subito la mia firma: amo i dettagli (le trasparenze, il tulle impalpabile e gli ammiccanti ramage), tutte le lavorazioni sono fatte a mano, faccio un attenta selezione dei pizzi e nonostante sia in grado di vestire sia la donna piu’ sexy che la donna piu’ romantica, è sicuramente semplice riconoscere il mio stile. Ho creato la mia identità con il tempo, a poco a poco il brand si trasforma con me.
Quali sono le tue principali fonti d’ispirazione?
La mia piu’ grande fonte d’ispirazione sono le mie spose, viaggio molto per lavoro e mi trovo spesso a seguire personalmente alcune spose. Sono tutte molto diverse, ognuna rappresenta un piccolo universo e proprio parlando con loro, delle loro esigenze nascono le idee migliori.
La mia seconda fonte d’ispirazione sono i pizzi, li scelgo accuratamente, li taglio e li modello sul manichino per creare i miei abiti. Tutto nasce quasi in maniera naturale dai tessuti.
Dove acquisti i tuoi tessuti?
Uso tessuti provenienti da tutto il mondo, puntiamo su materie prime di altissima qualità e quando non riesco a trovare il pizzo che sto cercando, lo disegno e lo faccio produrre esclusivamente per me. Per questo molti dei miei abiti sono dei veri pezzi unici.
Che tipo di donna vesti solitamente?
Inizialmente vestivo soprattutto spose giovani, adesso vesto davvero tutti i tipi di donna, ho modelli adatti davvero a tutti i fisici e a tutte le età. La caratteristica che le unisce tutte è la moda, le mie spose amano la moda e vogliono un abito al passo con i tempi. Il mio studio è ad Haifa in Israele, dove vivo e, la piu’ grande soddisfazione che ho avuto è stata quella di avere clienti che venivano da Tel Aviv per provare i miei abiti. Tel Aviv è una città molto alla moda, una grande città che ha davvero tanta offerta in termini di abiti e moda. Riuscire a far venire le mie clienti ad Haifa che è sicuramente piu’ piccola e meno alla moda per i miei abiti è una bella soddisfazione personale.
Quando creo le mie collezioni penso a quattro tipi diversi di donna, cosi da poter soddisfare le esigenze di ognuna di loro. Cerchiamo di creare un alone di mistero attorno alla sposa, i nostri abiti sono intriganti, arrivano ad essere sexy, ma mai in maniera troppo dirompente. E’ un equilibrio difficile da mantenere, ma ci contraddistingue.
Vesti solo spose longilinee che seguono i canoni fisici che la moda detta?
Vesto tutte le taglie, se una sposa sceglie un mio abito chiedo di farle una foto, facciamo solo abiti su misura, in modo da riuscire a valorizzare anche corpi che sono armoniosi in taglie piu’ grandi. La sposa quando veste un mio abito rappresenta il marchio e vogliamo che lo faccia nel migliore dei modi e sia felice del risultato.
Questa chiacchierata con Rinat Asher è stata davvero interessante, ho dato un volto ad un brand che seguo ormai da due anni sui social e sui cataloghi e che mi ha letteralmente ipnotizzato perchè assolutamente in linea con il mio essere.

Today I would like to share with you this interview to the young and successful designer Rinat Asher: she come from Israel and she is the creative director, designer and founder of Flora Bridal.
I met Rinat at the Antonella del Brusco showroom in Milan for the designer’s Trunk Show. Her clothes are famous all over the world to represent the “Trend” of the moment, full of character and mystery: romantic but gritty, elegant but modern, sensual but at the same time sweet. Some people call it “new glam”, other “modern Boho”, the result are dresses that imoress for their beauty, attention to details, quality and precious finishes. The collection presented in Italy is called Intrigue and wants to interpret the charm of the modern woman.
Rinat has a very “French” behavior, she is very simple but at the same time sophisticated and although it was not ready to be interviewed by us, she dedicated its precious time.
What kind studies did you did Rinat?
I studied fashion, it has been always my passion, but at a certain point, I abandoned it to study psychology. Fashion while I was working in the field of mental health was just a very pleasant hobby but now is the job I love. I’ve always been creative, since childhood: I’ve designed my studio, my home, design is really part of my DNA.
Please tell us about Bridal Flora, where your style is born, your collections, how your style has changed over the years, you have already present 7 collections.
The brand has a very strong identity, and you can see that is a Flora from many details: for the impalpable tulle and the winking “ramage”, all our work is done by hand, I make a careful selection of laces, and despite being able to dress both sexy woman and romantic, it is certainly easy to recognize my style. I have created my identity with time, day by day.
What are your main sources of inspiration?
My biggest source of inspiration are my spouses, I travel a lot for work and I meet many brides. They are all very different, each one represents a small universe, our collections are inspired from them, from their needs. My second source of inspiration is lace, I choose them one by one, I cut and model them on the mannequin to create my clothes. Everything is born almost naturally from the fabrics.
Where do you buy fabrics and laces?
I use fabrics from all over the world, we focus on raw materials of the highest quality and when I cannot find the lace I’m looking for, I design it and make it produce exclusively for company. This is why many of my dresses are real unique pieces.
What kind of woman do you usually dress?
Initially I was dressing mostly young brides, now I really dress all kinds of women. I have models really suitable for all physicists and all ages. The characteristic that unites them all is fashion, my brides love fashion and want a fashionable dress.
My studio is in Haifa in Israel, where I live. The greatest satisfaction I had was having brides coming from Tel Aviv to try out my wedding gowns. Tel Aviv is a very fashionable city, a big city that has much to offer in terms of clothes and fashion than Haifa. Being able to bring my customers to my studio from Tel Aviv, is a great personal satisfaction.
When I create my collections, I think of four different types of women, so that I can meet the needs of each of them. I try to create an aura of mystery around the bride, our clothes are intriguing, they come to be sexy, but never too disruptive. It is a balance that is difficult to maintain, but it our signature.
Do you dress only brides that follow the physical canons that fashion dictates?
I dress all sizes, if a bride chooses one of my dresses I ask the shop to take a picture of her. We only make custom-made clothes, and of course we have to be able to dress also “larger sizes” brides. A bride that wears my wedding gown represents the brand and we want her to be happy and feel the prettiest bride on earth.
Interviewing Rinat Asher was really interesting, I gave a “face” to a brand that I’ve been following for two years on social media and catalogs and that has literally hypnotized me because absolutely in line with my tastes.
